Acumatica Summit Networking: A More Intentional Way to Approach the Week

Acumatica Summit can be an incredible experience. It brings together customers, partners, and product leaders from across the ecosystem, all in one place. It can also feel overwhelming if you arrive without a plan.

The difference between a productive Summit and an exhausting one is not how many sessions you attend or how many people you meet. It is whether your conversations are intentional and whether they turn into momentum after the event ends.

At Crestwood Associates, we encourage clients and partners to approach Summit networking with strategy, not chance. That is why we use a simple, repeatable 3-step Summit networking strategy designed to help you make the right connections before, during, and after Acumatica Summit.

The 3-Step Summit Networking Strategy

This framework is designed for Acumatica Summit attendees who want their time to feel purposeful and their conversations to lead somewhere after the event.

Step 1: Build a Short, Focused Smart List Before Summit

The most effective networking starts before you arrive.

Instead of trying to meet everyone, build a short list of people you’d genuinely benefit from connecting with. We typically recommend keeping this to 10–15 people, grouped loosely into three buckets:

  • Acumatica product, industry, or roadmap leaders
  • Partners or ISVs you already work with or are actively evaluating
  • Peers with similar industries, growth stages, or challenges

This list gives you direction without locking you into a rigid schedule. It also makes it easier to recognize opportunities when they come up onsite.

Step 2: Make a Few Connections Ahead of Time

Once your list is in place, reach out before Summit begins.

This doesn’t need to be formal or time-consuming. A short message through LinkedIn, email, or the Summit app is enough. The goal isn’t to book your entire calendar. It’s simply to introduce context.

A good outreach message usually answers three things:

  • Why you want to connect
  • What you’re interested in discussing
  • Whether a short conversation during the week makes sense

Even a handful of these touchpoints can change how your onsite conversations feel once you arrive.

Step 3: Let Conversations Continue After Summit

At Summit itself, the goal is not to cover everything. It’s to start the right conversations.

Ask questions. Compare notes. Listen for what people are focused on this year or what’s been harder than expected. Those details matter far more than polished pitches.

After Summit, follow up while the conversation is still fresh. Reference what you talked about. Suggest a simple next step. This is where networking turns into something useful instead of a stack of contacts you never revisit.

If you want to go deeper on how to prepare before Summit, this framework will be covered in more detail during the “What to Know Before You Go to Acumatica Summit 2026” session hosted by acu-connect on Thursday, January 15. (Click here to register.)

How to Network With Crestwood at Summit

Booth #802

If you’re spending time on the expo floor at Summit, stop by and see us at the Crestwood booth.

We’ll be there throughout the week talking with customers, partners, and Acumatica team members about what they’re working through right now.

Whether you have a specific Acumatica question, are thinking through a next step in finance or operations, or just want to compare notes with people who spend their days inside real customer environments, we’re always glad to have the conversation.

We’ll also be sharing AR Powered by AI, Crestwood’s practical approach to reducing manual work in Acumatica financials. It’s designed around how finance teams actually operate day to day, not theory or future-state promises.

And while you’re there, you can enter to win a Strata Ultimate 16-Piece Complete Golf Set

Beyond the Crestwood Booth

Some of the most valuable Summit conversations do not happen in session rooms. They happen around shared experiences. A booth interaction that turns into a longer discussion. A prize drawing that sparks a conversation. A happy hour where everyone in the room already has something in common.

Our Summit sponsors are not just supporting Crestwood events. They are helping create the environments where real connections happen.

Here is where you can connect with them throughout the week.

A Different Way to Think About Networking at Summit

Acumatica Summit moves fast. A clear networking strategy helps you move with purpose.

Having a simple framework helps you stay grounded without making the week feel scripted. You don’t need to meet everyone. You don’t need to attend everything. You just need a clear sense of what you’re there to learn and who it would be useful to talk with.

If you want a deeper walkthrough of the strategy, we encourage you to join the acu-connect “What to Know Before You Go to Acumatica Summit 2026” session on Thursday, January 15, and stop by the Crestwood booth during Summit. We look forward to connecting.
