A few days after Acumatica Summit wraps up, something interesting always happens.
The excitement settles. The notes sit open on desks. And the real questions start to surface.
Not “what was announced,” but “what do we actually do with this.”
That is why we hosted our post-Summit Linkedin Live conversation. We did not want to recap sessions or repeat headlines. We wanted to talk through what we were hearing from business owners, users, and partners after Summit and help make sense of what actually matters next.
If you attended Summit, or even if you followed along from a distance, this is the conversation many leaders are quietly having right now.
How This Summit Was Different and Why That Matters
For the first time in five years, Acumatica Summit moved from Las Vegas to Seattle. On the surface, that sounds like a logistics detail. In reality, it changed the tone of the entire event.
What we heard consistently from attendees was that Summit felt more focused and more human. Conversations were deeper. Networking felt intentional rather than rushed. The environment created space for real discussion rather than just session hopping.
From a business owner perspective, that matters.
When employees attend an event like Summit, you want them learning, connecting, and bringing back ideas that actually improve how the business runs. The layout of the convention center, the ability to step outside, and the presence of collaboration areas made it easier for attendees to have meaningful conversations, take calls, and meet with partners without friction.
Several leaders shared that it felt more like a community gathering than a trade show. That shift is important, because the value of Summit is not just the software. It is the shared experience of learning from others who are growing, scaling, and solving similar challenges.
The Real Business Case for Sending Your Team
One theme that came up early in our conversation was how leaders are thinking about Summit as an investment.
The value is not in sending people to sit in sessions all day. The value is in accelerating learning. When your team can see how other organizations are solving problems, they do not have to reinvent solutions on their own.
Summit creates direct access to Acumatica product leaders, partners, and users who are actively applying the system in the real world. That shortens the distance between learning something new and putting it into practice.
Several of our clients use Summit strategically. They send high performers. They ask them to focus on specific areas. They bring those insights back and apply them across the organization. The return comes quickly when learning is intentional.
How Customers Turn Summit Ideas Into Action
One of the most practical parts of our live conversation focused on what happens after Summit.
Summit packs a lot of information into a short time. Notebooks fill up fast. Ideas stack up quickly. Without a plan, it is easy for momentum to fade.
What we see work best is prioritization. Not everything needs to happen at once. The most successful teams identify a small number of improvements that will make a measurable difference in the next 90 days.
This is where structure matters. Some organizations use frameworks like 90-day objectives to define what should be better in a short, focused window. That approach turns inspiration into execution.
We also talked about how the Summit experience starts before the event. Planning sessions by role, reviewing the agenda, and staying flexible during the week makes a big difference. Acumatica added sessions dynamically, opened waitlists, and made it easier to adjust schedules on the fly. The teams who leaned into that flexibility got more out of the experience.
After Summit, the key is to come back, review notes, and decide what actually moves the business forward. Not everything needs to be implemented. The goal is progress, not perfection.
What Leaders Are Asking About AI and Modern UI
Two topics dominated conversations after Summit.
AI and the modern user experience.
What stood out was not hype. It was curiosity. Leaders want to understand how these changes impact usability, adoption, and real outcomes for their teams.
Acumatica has always prioritized usability. That focus has not changed. What has changed is how intelligence and automation are being layered into the system in a way that supports users instead of overwhelming them.
The modern UI is part of that foundation. It is not just a visual refresh. It is tied to deeper changes in how Acumatica is built, including the move to a more modern framework that allows features to be delivered faster and more flexibly.
For leaders, this matters because it unlocks what comes next. New capabilities like AI assistants, customer portals, and in-product guidance rely on that foundation. Getting to the modern UI is less about aesthetics and more about readiness.
The other consistent message was that AI works best when the underlying data and processes are solid. AI does not fix broken workflows. It amplifies what already exists. Organizations that focus on data quality, structure, and ownership now are setting themselves up to get real value from AI as it becomes more embedded in ERP.
Practical AI Is About Solving Real Problems
During the live conversation, we spent time talking about what practical AI actually looks like inside the Acumatica ecosystem.
The strongest examples were not general-purpose tools. They were specific solutions designed to remove friction from everyday work.
Accounts receivable came up often. Many businesses are still dealing with manual follow-ups, slow payment cycles, and time-consuming credit decisions. That is where targeted AI can help by analyzing payment behavior, identifying risk patterns, and reducing the time it takes to make informed decisions.
Another area is document processing. Converting unstructured documents into structured data reduces manual entry, improves accuracy, and strengthens the data foundation needed for automation and reporting. These are the kinds of improvements that give time back to teams and reduce operational risk.
What matters most is intent. AI should be applied where it removes real effort and improves outcomes. When that happens, adoption follows naturally.
How Leaders Are Thinking About the Marketplace
The Acumatica Marketplace was larger and more active than ever this year. For many attendees, it was one of the most valuable parts of Summit.
The simplest way to think about the Marketplace is this. Acumatica provides a strong core. The ecosystem extends that core to solve specific, often niche, challenges without forcing heavy customization.
What stood out was how intentional conversations were. Leaders who walked the Marketplace with a clear understanding of their pain points left with clarity. Leaders who browsed without a goal often felt overwhelmed.
The most effective approach is to identify the friction first. Then use the Marketplace to find solutions that address that specific need. Whether it is payments, reporting, compliance, or industry-specific workflows, the ecosystem exists to make ERP fit the business, not the other way around.
What Business Owners Are Sitting With After Summit
As the conversation wrapped up, one thing became clear.
Most businesses are not broken. They are growing.
Growth changes what leaders need from their systems. Visibility matters more. Manual work becomes more costly. Decisions carry more weight. What worked before starts to feel heavier.
Summit does not give all the answers. What it does is surface the right questions.
Where does the business still feel harder than it should.
Where does manual effort slow decisions.
Where would better visibility reduce risk.
Those are the questions leaders are thinking about now.
