Crestwood Cloud: Now Offering Multifactor Authentication (MFA) for Dynamics GP & SL

Multifactor Authenticator

Every day we hear about systems being attacked by hackers.  Securing your data is top priority.  By hosting your Dynamics GP or SL system in the Crestwood Cloud, you get peace of mind that your system is secure.

We already offer multifactor authentication and single sign on for Acumatica through Azure AD, but extending it to the large number of GP and SL clients that we are hosting is HUGE for security for clients on those software products, and it works with both Remote Desktop and remote app.

Remote Desktop (RDP) is one of the most commonly attacked protocols for hackers looking to deploy ransomware and device based authentication prevents a compromised password from becoming a compromised server.  Often attackers will use compromised credentials obtained via phishing attacks to access corporate servers via RDP.  Once they are logged in, they can begin to exfiltrate data, encrypt information and hold it for ransom.   In addition, they often employ additional attacks to elevate privileges, take further control of the environment and deploy remote access tools to maintain persistent access to the environment.

Protecting identity is one of the most important aspects of security.  Extending your authentication beyond something you know (a password) to include something you have (a device) makes just having a username and password insufficient to compromise your server, protecting your environment from attackers.
