With a recent Dynamics GP upgrade, we ran into a unique error message that we had not seen before:
This error was appearing in various Navigation Lists in GP 2018 R2 on the latest version. Examples of Navigation Lists impacted included the following:
- All Purchasing Transactions
- Purchase Orders Not Submitted
- Purchase Requisitions Pending Approval
Other lists worked with no error message. We attempted various troubleshooting methods – deployment of a second instance in the same environment, in a different environment, the Fabrikam company – and were about to do a support case with Microsoft when we identified the problem: the SQL 2019 installation was not fully patched to the latest build. We updated SQL server 2019 to the latest build update (currently build CU4) and the issue was fully resolved!
