Crestwood add-on solutions for Acumatica

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving daily life for our customers, we have begun a regular cycle of updates to our Crestwood’s Add-On Products for Acumatica. Our dedicated developer is taking all the feedback we get from users, making changes and incorporating them into the next “release” of the products.

This blog will act as a hub of information on the latest updates to any and all of the products.

If you already have the product installed, contact your partner (whether that’s us or not!) and they will retrieve and install the new version for you. It’s fast and easy, and no extra charge (as long as you’re current on your subscription).

We added licensing logic to the Advanced Budgeting product. In some instances, screens were getting locked by an expired/invalid license. That is updated in this release.

May 27th, 2021

In this release, the Budget Summary Ledger will now try to load the budget if a ledger and financial year have values. We’ve removed the Load/Refresh Budget button, per some customers’ request. The Budget Summary Ledger tree view is now hidden by default. Lastly, in the Employee Subledger Budgets Generic Inquiry, we’ve added the Employee Name and Department columns (see image below).

In this release, we updated the collections plan calculation logic. If the collection notification/recipients are NOT yet configured, the system will use the first the default billing customer contact email. 

June 10th, 2021

Users were getting vexed by the Default Contact field in the Collection Customer screen, so we removed it. The field is still included in the database.

May 12th, 2021

Added a requested feature: we added the ability to mass delete details in Calculate/Run Collections Plans screen! There is now a button on the grid toolbar to “Delete Selected Lines.”

This release sees a new option in the Commission Preferences screen to enable change/delete on sales order lines with calculated commission (see image below).

For example, if this option is enabled, sales order lines with associated calculated commissions can be updated. When trying to delete lines with calculated commissions the user will receive a popup to confirm before proceeding. If the user confirms all calculated commissions related to the so line will be deleted.

If this option is disabled, a warning will be displayed in the description of any sales order line with related calculated commissions. Message will say that the “order line is in a calculated state and cannot be changed.” If the user tries to delete the line the same message will be displayed but this time as an error

In this release, we added a new option in the Commission Preferences screen to enable/disable commissions being originated from Projects, Contracts, or Sales Orders (see image below). Default value is enabled. So what does that mean?

For example, if the checkbox next to Projects/Tasks is disabled, the commission features will be hidden in the Projects screens and any new projects/tasks won’t generate new commission splits (i.e. no commission will be generated in the following calculations). Already existing projects/tasks commission splits and commissions will not be deleted, so commissions could be still generated from those. Only new Projects/Tasks after turning the checkbox off will not have any commissions generated.

If the Projects/Tasks checkbox option is enabled the system will work as usual with commission splits visible from the Project/Task screen and commissions can be generated.

The same new rule applies for Contracts and Sales Orders.

In this update, you can now duplicate the same Salesperson on the Commission Split table. This allows you to specify multiple percentages for the same Salesperson in a single sale.
